Spring Is Arriving at the Farm 🌿
As we move into spring, the farm is beginning to wake up in the most beautiful way. Our seasonal cut flowers are starting to bloom, bringing fresh color back to the fields, and the lavender is slowly coming out of its winter rest.
After finishing the final trimming of last year’s blooms, our lavender plants are now ready to put their energy into the new season ahead.
A Good Time to Cut Back Lavender
This is also the perfect reminder for fellow lavender growers: now is the ideal time to cut back your lavender and prepare it for the warmer months.
A good spring trim helps encourage:
Healthy new growth
Stronger plant shape
Better airflow
More vigorous blooming in the months ahead
With warmer weather on the way, this seasonal pruning sets the stage for the kind of explosive growth that makes lavender season so beautiful.
The Farm Is Waking Up
Spring is one of our favorite times of year here at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm. The fields begin to shift again with:
Fresh green growth on the lavender
Seasonal cut flowers beginning to bloom
Longer days and warmer sunshine
The first signs of the busy season ahead
There’s a real sense of renewal across the farm, and it’s always exciting to watch the landscape come back to life.
