Beauty Shots Part 1

Sometimes at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm we like to show off some of the beautiful flowers that we offer at the farmstand or on Doordash, if only to make your day a little more special!

This dahlia has such a vibrant burgundy color to it, I personally think it looks a little like a red lion , what can you see?

These Pom Pom Dahlias look like the cake pops that used to be so trendy, just not as many calories!

Look at those first Anemone popping up to say hello, can’t wait till we can start adding you guys into our seasonal bouquets!

Last but certainly not least, we have the narcissus starting to bloom too, I know they look like roses, but they are actually a whole different type of flower! Be sure to come check out our farmstand to see all the flowers in their true glory or at the Orcutt Farmer’s Market today from 4 to 7pm.

What a Time To Clone!

We at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm are always looking to expand our product line, and what better way then to sell lavender cutting for clones?

Sunset is always the best time to do cuttings, especially if it's hotter than you know what out! Special shout out to Bubbah, Barbee. And Blanca for their help watching out for anyone who might be sneaking up on the farmstand while we work. Sleeping On the Job Eh?

Hey guy, Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm is a business, there ain’t no time for sleeping around here!

Look the butterflies are doing their job pollinating, you need to get yourself together bumblebee, you’re slacking!

What A Wonderful Time!

The Wonderful Pomegranates are in full production now! Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm is happy to show off our multiple varieties of pomegranates, stop by the farmstand to get a few superfoods to spice up your day!

If you want all the flavor and none of the work, don’t worry, we also have pomegranate seeds and pomegranate juice as well, now you have no excuse! Stop by this weekend and super up your week.

Someone Say Poms?

The pomegranate trees we planted last year around Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm are finally starting to produce fruit! Not bad for their first year in the ground!

Pomegranates are high in anti-oxidants and are a great fruit to start your day off right, even Inyx loves them!

Along with the pomegranates, we are now also selling fresh herbs bundles in the farmstand, come and felt your Thai basil, rosemary, thyme, and culinary lavender!

Bath and Body Goodies

We at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm have noticed guests to the farmstand have alot of questions about what products we like, so we decided to start doing product showcases on all of the goodies available now in the farmstand!

This is our display of our bath and shower products, our Lavender shower and bath Bombs have and unbelievable smell to them. Another one of our great smelling products is the olive oil lavender oatmeal soap, one of our best sellers with an amazing smell and feel, hope you can come by to check out all the great items in our farmstand!

Launch Day!

Exciting day here at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm, its Launch Day!

Vandenberg Space Force Base is gearing up for the final launch of Delta IV rocket today. The Delta IV Heavy Rocket is one of the largest heavy lift rockets in the world and is set to blast off into space from Vandenberg one final time this weekend.If you want to see the launch for yourself, the launch window opens at 1:50 p.m. on Saturday. Come and stop by the farmstand so as not to miss out on this experience!

Whew did we need that rain at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm! We were thinking we needed to hose down the farmstand too, lucky it rained 2 inches!

With the rain in the hindsight, today is the Orcutt Farmers Market and we at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm are excited to show off our Lavender and seasonal cut flowers! Come and see us today in downtown Orcutt from 4-7pm, hope to see you there!

What a Wonderful Labor Day Weekend!

Wow, the first Labor Day Weekend open to the public at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm was unbelievable! On Saturday we had Art Spot on Wheels host an acrylic painting class here on the farm! Everyone had an amazing experience, and loved our Lavender Lemonade that we debuted this weekend in the farmstand!

Everyone made some unbelievable paintings, here are a few pics of everyone's work, truly marvelous!

Great job by everyone who participated in the class, but don't worry if you missed out, we have decided to partner with Christie and will continue to host more painting classes out in the lavender farm, be sure to check out our events page for any updates to the class schedule, or contact us about scheduling your own private class here on the farm!

Off-season Isn’t Time Off!

Even when the lavender season is over, Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm never stops working! Now that we are on off season hours, it’s time to distill the lavender we harvest!

On average, we distill about 750ml of Lavender essential oil per day, which we put into all of the products we sell at our farmstand. Be sure to check out the farmstand during off-season to check out the new seasonal flowers and get your own part of the farm to take home!

Remembering the Fallen

Here at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm, we look back on the 21st anniversary of 9/11 with reverence for the innocents who lost their lives and the sacrifices of those first responders who faced the impossible that day, we at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm hope that everyone does the same, life can be extinguished in but a flash, so make the most out of every day that we have.

Now Serving… Lavender Lemonade!

Labor Day weekend here at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm has been pretty warm, good thing we have added a new item to our farmstand to help beat the heat, Lavender Lemonade, made fresh right here on the farm!

Be sure to also pick up some of our Lavender Balsamic Vinegar, we are doing a buy one get one 1/2 off for the holiday! Hope to see you here ;)

Announcing Lavender Farm Off-season Hours!

With Labor away weekend fast approaching, we at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm want to remind all those visitors planning to visit the farmstand, we are switching to our off-season hours. While you can still schedule an appointment to visit the farm outside of our business hours, we will be changing our normal business hours to be from 10am -4pm from Thursday to Monday. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but don't worry, we will be switching back to our normal business hours come next Lavender season!

Everyone's Working!

Here at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm, everyone has to do something to pull their weight, especially because Bubbah has so much to pull around!

Here he is watching over our 10 gal stainless steel still, which on average produces 350ml of essential oil per run. It’s a little bit of work to set up and get running, but with some practice and a little bit hands on instruction anyone can do it! To show how easy it is, we are hosting a Distillation class using our 1 gallon copper still, where we teach you how to go from the lavender on the plant to essential oil in the separator , with all the other steps in between! Get your tickets here, or if August 27th doesn’t work for you, contact us to set up a private distillation class for you, that way no one feels like they’re missing out!

Supervising!

Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm is always swarming with activity, its so amazing to stand amongst the workers doing their jobs cleaning out the combs and putting in pollen, nectar and other bee larva. Truly BEEutiful!

This 10 frame box is so cool watching the bees as they're hard at work behind the farmstand, makes me realize I need to get back to work!

This hive is in the back of our property where we grow all our exotic plants that require a little more attention to thrive. This portion of the farm isn't open to visit yet, but that doesn't mean we aren't working that portion any less!
