Announcing Lavender Farm Off-season Hours!

Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm

With Labor away weekend fast approaching, we at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm want to remind all those visitors planning to visit the farmstand, we are switching to our off-season hours. While you can still schedule an appointment to visit the farm outside of our business hours, we will be changing our normal business hours to be from 10am -4pm from Thursday to Monday. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but don't worry, we will be switching back to our normal business hours come next Lavender season!

Everyone's Working!

Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm

Here at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm, everyone has to do something to pull their weight, especially because Bubbah has so much to pull around!

Here he is watching over our 10 gal stainless steel still, which on average produces 350ml of essential oil per run. It’s a little bit of work to set up and get running, but with some practice and a little bit hands on instruction anyone can do it! To show how easy it is, we are hosting a Distillation class using our 1 gallon copper still, where we teach you how to go from the lavender on the plant to essential oil in the separator , with all the other steps in between! Get your tickets here, or if August 27th doesn’t work for you, contact us to set up a private distillation class for you, that way no one feels like they’re missing out!

Supervising!

Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm

Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm is always swarming with activity, its so amazing to stand amongst the workers doing their jobs cleaning out the combs and putting in pollen, nectar and other bee larva. Truly BEEutiful!

This 10 frame box is so cool watching the bees as they're hard at work behind the farmstand, makes me realize I need to get back to work!

This hive is in the back of our property where we grow all our exotic plants that require a little more attention to thrive. This portion of the farm isn't open to visit yet, but that doesn't mean we aren't working that portion any less!

Coming in hot!

Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm

While out picking on Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm, sometimes you get the chance to see some great sights, like this AC130 with silent engines.

You would think a big plane flying overhead like that would rattle the farmstand, but those engines were really quiet, could barely hear them as it flew by.

Doubtless he got a great view of the field, so can you when you sign up for one of our upcoming classes like our Harvest to Wreath class August 6th. Be sure to sign up soon, spots are filling up fast!

A Lavender Engagement!

Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm

Yesterday evening we had a very special pair of guests come to Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm. Yesterday evening, our new friends Brent and Lolita came by to take a private tour, little did Lolita know we had set up a little something special for her as Brent got out into the field and proposed to her!

Lolita couldn't have been happier, and once she said yes they took a little picnic out in the field with a charcuterie plate and champagne we prepared and just basked in their new found engaged bliss! We were so happy that we at Santa Rita Hills Lavender Farm could be a part of their special day, we hope you too can think of using our field for your wedding/ engagement plans! And congrats once again to the happy couple Brent and Lolita, we wish them all the best in this next stage in their relationship!

Everyone enjoyed the continental breakfast we had set up, and loved the wine that was made hy Amber for the class

We set up the tables so that everyone could enjoy a great view of the lavender field while they worked!
